Leadership Circles are focused, facilitated discussions in a group setting, that allow you to engage in candid conversations about your views, questions, past experiences, personal and professional impact, and the future you want to create for yourself and your organization. Leadership Circles integrate learning, skill practice, and provide support to increase confidence in order to sustain new habits, increasing leadership effectiveness to further mission accomplishment. Leadership Circles are a cost-effective way to increase ROI on classroom learning, and when you add targeted individual growth sessions, the ROI on your investment in learning and development multiplies team and organizational performance. Leadership Circles are typically 120-90 minutes long but can be adjusted to meet the needs of the organization.
Course Overview
Business Need
One of the biggest challenges of professional development is turning knowledge into new habits. Leadership Circles address this challenge.
Course Topics
Participant-Driven Topics
When combined with classroom learning, the topics discussed during the Leadership Circles will be influenced by the knowledge acquired in the classroom and independent skill practice after the classroom experience. For example, when Circles follow learning about conflict management, the Leadership Circle would focus on continued learning and habit building regarding conflict management. Leadership Circles create community support and accountability to implement new knowledge.
Individual one-on-one growth sessions can also be combined with Leadership Circles, exponentially increasing individual performance.
Preselected Topics
Leadership Circle can be focused on preselected topics critical to individual, team, and mission accomplishment, such as the Work of Leaders, high-performing teams, positive intelligence, feedback, compassionate accountability, transcending life’s uncertainties, and the resilient leader. In partnership with an executive coach, you will further your learning and reflection by designing sustainable habits that align with your learning intentions for the program. Supporting materials such as video clips and articles will supplement the discussions.
